There are 141 internet casino domain names right now that are being talked about and debated. These 141 casino names might be seized by the state of Kentucky but the Supreme Court in Kentucky has allowed for an appeal.
If the Kentucky court seizes all 141 domain names, this could and would change a lot of things for casino fans in the US. This would also cause a lot of damage because casinos would potentially lose loads of business and money, which could make them go bankrupt.
The iMEGA is really hoping that after this, the members can just get back to playing online, and they won’t have to continue going through the ups and downs with them. It’s discouraging a lot of members already because they aren’t sure whether or not they should join any casino sites while this is going on.
The chief plaintiff of iMEGA believes that the court will actually back them up because they have always backed them up and helped support their position. However, it’s just a bit different now, since this is going beforeĀ the Supreme Court. This will be the final ruling and what’s done is done when the Supreme Court declares its answer.
The main thing that they will have to fight is that some people believe that they have used gambling devices that are illegal in the state of Kentucky and as a result, some feel that they have broken laws by doing that. However, there is no set constitution regarding gaming devices on the internet, so it’s hard to rule that they did actually break laws.
Once this is all over with, there are rumors that they are hoping to launch some new bonuses and promotions, but only time will tell if these rumors are true. If they lose the case, they will have to move onto the next step and at this time, no one knows what that next step would be.
If the court does not seize the domain names, this might get the other states to start looking at their laws and clear up some laws in their state about gambling and the casinos. That is another thing they are hoping to accomplish.
Loads of fans all over would be really upset, frustrated and mad if the Supreme Court decides that they should seize these names. If they seize them, there might be some other laws that could be enacted or changed. A lot of things would change, and it would be a huge hassle for everyone.
